freecity began in 2001 and is self-funded. a visual language that communicates through storytelling, shared space, graphics, collected materials, sound, color, and symbols – all that we make is inspired and dictated by the story we are telling. the unseen energy of the collective human experience has been my inspiration. i want to make things that people keep, that hold sentiment and personal memory of their human experience. this is the highest potential for anything that i make and the goal. not knowing how to make something, and then finding a way to make it is the inspiration, the challenge, and the gift of freecity.
